What is British art?
What does 'British' mean to me?
Who owns all the paintings in our local galleries?
If I make art, am I a British artist?
The Great British Art Debate asks all these questions and more. It's not about giving you all the answers but asking you to share your opinions on British art and what it means to you.
You will be taught by a professional designer/artist from the Tate Modern.
You will discuss your views on great British art and how/why art is important to you as a
British citizen. You will reflect your thinking in a piece of art which will be displayed at The Tate gallery in December.

Run in conjunction with Headliners, there are places for 10 young people on this one week course.The course will feature weekly discussions and workshops on all aspects of Law and participants will take part in a Mock Trial, held at the Royal Courts of Justice.
Are you a solo artist, part of a band, a singer, rapper or music producer?During the course you will get the opportunity to meet industry people, visit record companies, music PR companies, bands and radio stations.
You will record your final track in a professional recording studio.
You will find out what it is really like to be a celebrity, while we style, photograph and film you for your own Electronic Press Kit (EPK). Finally you will meet a top record producer at a secret location. You will sit in front of a panel of judges who will watch your EPK, hear your track and decide the winner of the competition! The winning prize is a promo video. We will provide you with a film maker who will film and edit your very own music video to promote your track. This will then be sent onto SONY BMG who will listen to your track and give you advice on how to improve your talent.

We are now recruiting for a small group of 14 - 19 years olds who live in Islington.
Join a group of young people, working with a professional film-maker, creating a 30 minute film exploring life in the EC1 area.
]]> We are making a 30 minute documentary film to be screened at the Barbican Cinema in June 09.The group will meet every Thursday 4-7pm.
We will be exploring people's views of crime and how it affects our lives.
Interview the police to see their view;
Learn film making techniques and be part of a team; appear in the film if you like.
Get a certificate at the end of the project.
